Establish strategic policy guidelines, oversee systemic performance, and provide technical assistance to Local Education Authorities (LEAs) to ensure effective delivery of educational services, in alignment with the core framework and principles of the fundamental right to education.

Holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in education. She has built her career across various sectors of the educational system, leading initiatives related to educational access, quality, enrollment, educator workforce allocation, school infrastructure, full-day schooling, and the strengthening of institutional governance.

She has served as Secretary of Education across various authorities, including Barranquilla, Magdalena, and La Guajira-an experience through which she accompanied educational institutions, teachers, school administrators, and communities, gaining first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by local authorities in upholding the right to education.

Her extensive background in regional administration will serve as one of the main pillars of her work within the Ministry, particularly to enhance intergovernmental coordination with Certified Local Education Authorities (ETCs) and advance relevant educational responses tailored to the country's diverse realities.

As Vice-ministry of Pre-school, Primary and Secondary Education, her primary priorities will include advancing universal access to early childhood, elementary, and secondary education; strengthening the quality and relevance of learning; and driving curricular transformations that foster critical thinking, core competencies, values, and the socio-emotional well-being of children, adolescents, and youth.
