What is Early Childhood Education?

Publicado: 03-feb-2016

It is an unavoidable right of early childhood; early education becomes a structuring element of comprehensive care that aims to intentionally potentiate integral development of girls and boys from birth to six years of age, starting with the recognition of their characteristics and the particularities of the contexts in which they live and promoting interactions that are generated through enriched environments through educational experiences and practices of care.

Early childhood education is good in itself because the pedagogical work that is planned there is based on the interests, concerns, abilities and knowledge of girls and boys. This does not seek as ultimate aim their preparation for primary school, but offers them challenging experiences that promote their development; there they play, explore their environment, express themselves through art and enjoy literature.
