The Minister Gina Parody

Gina Parody was born in Bogotá. Mrs. Parody holds a Law Degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where she specialized in Conflict Resolution. She has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University (USA); a specialization in Management of Cities of the XXI Century, from the Open University of Cataluña; and, in Value Capture as a tool for Development and Regularization of Informal Settlements, from the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.

She was a Senator of Colombian Republic (2006-2010), and member of the House of Representatives (2002-2006).

In the regional elections of 2011, she stood as candidate for the Mayor's Office of Bogotá as an independent candidate.

Later on, she was High Presidential Adviser for Bogotá's Affairs. From February 2013 to June 2014, she became Director of the National Learning Service (SENA).
